About the Recovery 5k
The course runs through Illahee Preserve, a forested area east of downtown Bremerton, on natural trails. Expect rooted paths, tree cover, and uneven ground underfoot rather than pavement. The surroundings are quiet and wooded, which suits the theme of the event, a run organized around National Recovery Month and benefiting a local recovery coalition.
Coffee and donuts are at the finish. The event draws a wide range of paces, from athletes to people out for a hike, and the trail setting means runners tend to spread out and find their own rhythm pretty quickly.

Finish-Time Stats
Going by the 2025 results, this is a small, friendly field, and the spread of finish times is wide, so this is a mostly recreational race rather than one for club runners.

The Recovery 5k has been held every year since at least 2025. That is as far back as RunSignup's records for this race go, so it may well be older.
How we calculate these stats: RunSesh calculates these figures from the most recent published results of past editions, sourced from RunSignup. We show aggregates only: field size, winning and median times, and the cutoff. We never publish individual finisher tables. Last updated Jul 27, 2026.
