About the REAL LIFE 5k/10k 2026
The course runs through Retama Park, a working horse racing track. You start and finish on asphalt, cross the clay outer track, then spend a stretch on the grass inner track, which runs like a cross-country course through the middle of the race. The whole thing is essentially flat, and road shoes handle it fine.
Race-day packet pickup opens in the afternoon at the Real Life Center on Lookout Road, which also serves as the start and finish area. The building has a large bank of indoor restrooms right at the line. After the race, there is a DJ. The course is closed to strollers and dogs.
