About the Ready, Steady, Run! Short Story Brewing Rivesville 5k Run / Walk
The course is a road run through Rivesville's neighborhoods with a stretch along the Monongahela River. It is semi-hilly, so expect some rolling stretches rather than a flat loop. The route starts and ends at City Hall, which keeps the finish area centered and easy to find.
After the race, the finish line moves over to Short Story Brewing, the local brewery that organizes the event. Proceeds go to the local elementary and middle school, so the post-race crowd tends to skew toward people who have a personal stake in the town.
