About the Ready Set Glow 5k
The course runs out and back through downtown Abilene at night, starting and finishing at The Well church on Mesquite. Glowing volunteers line the route to mark the way, and because roads stay open to traffic, a traffic officer handles the main crossing. The whole thing happens after dark, so bright gear is part of the deal.
Packet pickup is available the morning before the race at The Well, and again on race morning in the church lobby. Parking is at the church and in an empty lot across the street, and the organizers suggest arriving early. After the run, food trucks and music fill the green space behind the church, along with booths from local nonprofits.
