About the REACH OUT 5K RUN
The race runs through Gatlinburg, a mountain town where the surroundings do most of the work. The course is a road run through scenic terrain, with hills that come with the territory when you are racing at this elevation. The cause behind it is an orphanage abroad, and the entry fee goes directly to that work. Age division and overall winners receive handmade pottery mugs and laser-cut wooden awards.
Packet pickup and race-day registration both happen at Mills Park Pavilion on the morning of the race, before the start. There is a silent auction and door prizes at the event as well.
