About the Reach Inc. Race for Independence
The course runs through trails on the north side of Bozeman, starting at the Reach Work Center. Underfoot it is hard-packed and mostly level, with a handful of gentle rolls. Wetlands border parts of the route, so expect birds along the way, and the mountain views open up as you go.
Packet pickup runs the afternoon before at the Work Center, with a shorter window on race morning at the same location. There are bottled water and packaged snacks at the finish. The race benefits adults with developmental disabilities in the area, and volunteers from that community are a visible presence throughout.
