About the RCH Foundation's Pink Ribbon 5K
The course starts at the Orangeburg Arts Center, inside Edisto Memorial Gardens, and heads into the surrounding neighborhood along roads that run parallel to the Edisto River. The pavement rolls gently, with a few modest rises scattered through the route. Dogs are not permitted, but strollers are.
Packet pickup runs the evening before the race at a medical annex building on the edge of a hospital campus, with race-morning pickup available as well. The finish-line ceremony includes age-group awards and a costume contest, which fits the Halloween timing and draws some creative entries from runners and spectators alike.
