About the Raquette River Marathon, Half, 10k, and 5k
The races follow River Road along the Raquette River, starting and finishing at the Potsdam Arena. The course rolls rather than flattens, with hills scattered throughout, and the river stays close for most of the route. The course is USATF certified, so marathon runners can use it as a Boston qualifier.
Check-in happens at the arena on race morning, near where runners finish. There is plenty of parking nearby. Food vendors are on site for much of the day, and awards for each distance go out roughly a half hour after the last finisher comes in. Cash prizes are on the table for top finishers in the longer distances.
