About the 2026 RAPTOR 5K
The course winds through paved trails at Miami Meadows Park, staying flat the whole way. It is a road race in feel, though the park setting keeps it pleasant. The race benefits RAPTOR Inc., a bird of prey conservation nonprofit, and that mission shows up at the finish: several of the organization's live avian ambassadors are on hand after the run.
Packet pickup is available the day before at the Raptor Center, or on race morning at the park before check-in closes. After the race, there are snacks, drinks, raffle prizes, and the birds themselves. A virtual option exists for those who want to support the cause without running on race day.
