About the Raintree 4th July 5K and Fun Run
The course winds around a golf course, taking runners along fairways and cart paths before moving out onto neighborhood streets. It is mostly flat, the kind of surface that tends to produce quick times, and the surroundings are open and tree-lined. A shorter fun run option follows a similar out-and-feel through the same grounds.
Packet pickup is race morning at the golf course pavilion, so there is no need to come out the day before. The race is part of a local series that raises money for area nonprofits, and overall and age group winners take home apple pies from a local grocery. Golf passes are given away as door prizes.
