About the 28th Annual Rail Trail 10-Miler

The course runs one way, heading north along the York County Heritage Rail Trail from a church in Seven Valleys toward downtown York. It tilts gently downhill the whole way, so the effort feels easier than the distance. The trail passes through what is said to be the oldest operating train tunnel in the country, which is a striking stretch of trail.

Packet pickup is the evening before at a local running store. On race day, parking is available both at the start in Seven Valleys and at the finish near the Agricultural and Industrial Museum. A bus shuttles runners from the finish area to the start, but seats are limited and go to early registrants. Post-race, the museum hosts refreshments and entertainment, with craft beer from a local taproom.
