About the Rae of Sunshine 5K - Umbrella Alley

This race is hosted by a local brewery and runs through Umbrella Alley, a stretch of downtown Louisville that a community member named Raeann Guiley helped transform from a neglected alley into a cheerful gathering spot. The race is named for her, and the course puts that backdrop at the center of the morning.

The brewery is the anchor for the start and finish area, so there is a natural place to gather before and after. Awards go deep into the age groups, so runners at every stage of life are likely to see their name called at the ceremony.
