About the Races for the Oasis 5K & Fun Run
The course runs through the Maryland Zoo in Druid Hill Park, looping through the zoo exhibits. The 5K goes around twice; the shorter fun run completes a single lap. It is a genuine zoo setting, so the surroundings are unlike most road races in the city.
Packet pickup opens race morning at a pavilion just inside the zoo entrance. Parking at the zoo entrance is complimentary. After the race, early arrivals can stay and spend the day at the zoo on the same visit.
