About the Race of The Runways 5K

This one runs on actual airport runways after dark. The course is lit up for the occasion, and a helicopter circles overhead with a searchlight while you run. Glow-in-the-dark clothing fits right in, and costume prizes go to the best-dressed. Strollers are welcome; dogs are not, given the airport setting.

Packet pickup runs the evening before at the airport, with race-morning pickup opening a couple of hours before the gun. Parking is free on site. After the race, there is a post-race party with music, dancing, and food right there at the airport.
