This is a fundraising race for Pink Sistas, a local organization that connects breast cancer survivors through retreats and day trips on the water, including kayaking and time on a party barge. The entry fees go directly toward keeping those programs free for the women who use them. The morning draws runners who are there as much for the cause as for the miles.
