About the Race Back to School! Methacton 5K Walk or Run

The course runs through Heebner Park on unpaved terrain, dirt and gravel underfoot, with the natural surroundings shaping the whole thing. It is a trail run, not a road race, so expect uneven ground rather than pavement. Water stations are out on the course, and there are prizes for top finishers overall and by age group. A short, untimed kids fun run runs alongside the main event.

Bib pickup happens the evening before at a pizza restaurant parking lot in Eagleville. On race day, parking is at the Valley Forge Road entrance to the park, with overflow available at a second entrance. Refreshments and snacks are at the finish. The race benefits a local backpack program that provides food to families in the area year-round.
