About the 16th Annual Race Against Poverty
The Race Against Poverty in Chambersburg pairs a kids' fun run with a timed race for walkers and runners. The event runs into the evening, with an awards ceremony and door prizes after the finish. Vendors, music, and information tables fill the area around the start, so there is reason to stay after you cross the line.
Same-day registration and packet pickup open in the afternoon at the race's central hub. The kids' races go off first, with the main race starting later in the evening. Food and retail vendors are on-site throughout, and the post-race gathering has an informal block-party feel.
