About the Quarry Shack 5 Miler 6th Annual 10/31/26
The Ghosttown Trail's Rexis Branch runs straight and nearly flat through the dark, rising slowly on the way out and handing that elevation back as a gentle downgrade on the return. You need a light. An old quarry shack with local film history sits along the route, and Halloween decorations mark the course. Costumes are encouraged, and most of the field shows up in one.
The start is at the Rexis trailhead, just past a closed gate beside an old train. A water stop sits near the turnaround, which is marked with a large Halloween decoration. Day-of registration runs only a short window in the early evening, and cash or check are the only payment options accepted on site.
