About the Pursuit of Honor, Courage and Commitment 5K Run/Walk
The course runs along Hollywood Beach at sunrise, starting and finishing at Charnow Park. Road underfoot, flat the whole way, with the water beside you as the sky gets light. The race benefits the Wounded Warrior Project and a local Sea Cadets youth program, and that purpose is pretty visible in how the morning is organized.
Packet pickup runs at a couple of locations in the days before the race, including a running store and the Sea Cadet training center, with race-morning pickup available but the organizers are clear that things move fast at the start. Garfield Garage sits right at the park if you need covered parking. Whole Foods provides a post-race breakfast.
