About the Pumpkin 5k Run/Walk
The course runs through the upper Hood River County valley with mountain views in every direction. The terrain rolls gently, nothing steep, and the fall foliage is the main scenery. Costumes are a big part of the atmosphere, and the crowd tends to lean into it.
Warm apple cider waits at the finish, and a Pumpkin Parade follows the race, so most people stick around after they cross. It is a fundraiser for local schools and athletics, which shapes the crowd you will find there.
