About the PS I Love You 5K and 1 Mile

This race in Akron is a tribute to a local runner who trained at the downtown YMCA and had big goals on the roads. The event draws chip-timed 5K runners alongside walkers on an untimed shorter course. Dogs are welcome on the 5K course, as long as they start at the back on a short leash.

Packet pickup runs the morning of the race before the start, so there is no need to go anywhere the day before. Awards cover overall, masters, junior, and age group categories, with a specialty prize for the best pet-and-owner running duo.
