About the 2026 Prelude 5k & 10k Walk/Run
The course runs on the WB&A Trail, a paved multi-use path that stretches from Glenn Dale toward Bowie. It is flat trail running in the open, with enough straightaway to settle into a rhythm. The race starts and finishes at the Glenn Dale Community Center, so the surrounding area will be familiar to anyone who trains in this part of the county.
Packet pickup opens at the staging area before the start, so there is no need to make a separate trip the day before. Post-race, the organizers are planning a small festival at the finish area.
