About the Powder Keg Trail Run
The course runs through Carter Park, behind an old mansion on King Avenue. From there it drops down toward the Little Miami River, follows the river along an abandoned road, passes an old dam, then climbs a long staircase back up. After that the route winds through the north side of the park, past some ball fields, and pushes to the finish. Expect honest trail terrain throughout.
Check-in opens on race morning and runs until shortly before the start. There is no early packet pickup, so plan to arrive with time to spare. Parking is free at the elementary school next door to the park.

The Powder Keg Trail Run has been held every year since at least 2014. That is as far back as RunSignup's records for this race go, so it may well be older.
How we calculate these stats: RunSesh calculates these figures from the most recent published results of past editions, sourced from RunSignup. We show aggregates only: field size, winning and median times, and the cutoff. We never publish individual finisher tables. Last updated Jul 27, 2026.
