About the Port Oneida Run
The courses run through Port Oneida Rural Historic District inside Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore, passing historic farms and barns on a mix of crushed gravel trails, dirt roads, and pavement. The shorter distance stays flat along the Heritage Trail. The longer courses head toward Pyramid Point and include a steep, sustained climb up Basch Road that earns its reputation.
Packet pickup is race morning only, at the Olsen Farm's big red barn, which also serves as the start and finish. Parking is on site. The race takes place in summer heat, so carrying your own water is worth thinking about even with aid stations along the way. There is food at the finish, and the organizers encourage sticking around to explore the park afterward.

The Port Oneida Run has been held every year since at least 2024. That is as far back as RunSignup's records for this race go, so it may well be older.
How we calculate these stats: RunSesh calculates these figures from the most recent published results of past editions, sourced from RunSignup. We show aggregates only: field size, winning and median times, and the cutoff. We never publish individual finisher tables. Last updated Jul 27, 2026.
