The course runs out and back on a paved trail, so the terrain is consistent underfoot the whole way. There are no surprises with footing, and the route stays the same whether you are running shorter or going the full half marathon distance. Self-serve water stations are spaced along the way, though runners chasing a faster time may want to carry their own hydration.
Race-morning check-in starts well before the gun, giving you time to settle in. An early pickup option the evening before has been available in past years, held at a local brewery, and the schedule page will say whether that is happening again.
