About the Popeye's Fall Festival 5K
This race runs through Chester, the town known as the birthplace of Popeye, so the fall festival backdrop fits naturally. The course covers a classic road distance, and there is also a shorter fun run option alongside it, so families with younger kids tend to show up alongside the more competitive crowd.
Registration opens at a local bank on Swanwick Street, which also serves as the start area. Awards go deep into age categories for both the run and the walk divisions, so runners toward the back of the pack have as much to race for as those at the front.
