About the Plainfield Harvest Run 5k/10k & Kids Miler
The course starts and finishes at Village Green Park, with the start line near the Fox River. It is a park-based race with a kids distance alongside the main distances, and vendors and sponsors are set up around the park before the gun goes off. Race proceeds go back to local nonprofits, which gives the morning a sense of purpose beyond the finish line.
Packet pickup runs the couple of days before at a local running outfitter on Lockport Street, with race-morning bib pickup available at the park. Parking is on the streets east and north of the park, or at the nearby high school and public library. After the race, there is a post-race party in downtown Plainfield, with food and drinks available while supplies last.
