About the Pisgah High School 5K Community Race & 1 Mile Kids Fun Run
The course is largely grass underfoot, with a little gravel and a short paved section mixed in. It stays close to level for this part of the countryside, so the footing is forgiving and the terrain never gets technical. Rolling hills and open land surround the route, and it follows the grounds near the high school whose cross country program the race supports.
The kids' fun run registers on race morning, cash only, and a parent can run alongside. Proceeds from both events go directly to the Pisgah High School cross country team.
