About the Pipestem Pumpkin Run
The course runs through Pipestem Resort State Park, a wooded state park setting that gives the race a genuinely scenic feel rather than an urban one. A Halloween costume contest runs alongside the timed race, with judging near the start, so there is usually a good spread of creative outfits in the field. Restrooms are available at the park headquarters and at the canyon rim.
Homemade baked goods are out at the finish. The race offers several distance options, including a free fun run for those who want to join without the clock pressure.
