The course runs on road alongside Jamestown Road, turning onto Landfall for an out-and-back before returning to the clearing near the Virginia Capital Trail. Dogs are welcome on both distance options, on leash and in a harness, though the organizers flag heat as a real concern on the asphalt and ask you to plan accordingly.

Packet pickup is race morning only, starting when registration opens, in the field entrance across from the parking area. Parking is in the Jamestown Settlement lot nearby. A vendor fair runs through late morning, and there is a post-race pup photo contest open to anyone on site with a pet. Pizza and beer are included with registration, with non-alcoholic options available.
