About the Pink Up the Pace
This is an untimed fun run that winds through an industrial park in Mt. Vernon, raising money for a local hospital's Relay for Life team. The course is short and flat, and the whole crowd tends to show up in pink. It has the feel of a neighborhood walkout more than a race, with the cause front and center.
Packet pickup and registration happen in the hour before the start, so arriving a bit early is the move. The event is held in the evening, which keeps the autumn heat manageable and gives the gathering a pleasant after-work energy.
