About the Pineland Striders Boxing Day 5K

The course runs through residential streets surrounding an elementary school named for the hill it sits on, and that name is not misleading. There is one real climb worked into the route, plus a short stretch across a flat grass field where the pavement ends briefly. Volunteers stand at the turns that might trip you up, and the course is marked with cones and chalk arrows.

Bib pickup opens well before the start, so there is no reason to rush. After the race, warm drinks and snacks are set out, and the regifting raffle follows, where runners draw from a pile of donated gifts in random order. A kids' fun run goes off just before the main start.
