About the Pine Knoll Shores Turkey Trot 5K Run/Walk & 1.5 Mile Dog Stroll
The route starts and finishes at McNeil Park, crossing a bridge before winding through the residential streets of Pine Knoll Shores. The longer option dips into a country club golf course, running along cart paths and across fairways before looping back. Dogs and strollers stay on the neighborhood streets. Bananas and water are at the finish, and there is a prize drawing.
Parking is tight. The organizers suggest walking, biking, or arriving by golf cart if you can. A few residential streets near the park are the designated spots, and police close the main race road before the start. There is no bag pickup required at the line, just go straight to the bridge.
