About the Pictured Rocks Road Race 2027
The course runs out of Bayshore Park, right on the southern shore of Lake Superior, and mixes paved road with stretches of dirt two-track. Both distances share an early climb on the dirt section; the longer route adds a second one. Neither climb is gentle. The surroundings along the way are what draw people back, with the national lakeshore close enough to shape the whole feel of the morning.
Bayshore Park sits in the middle of town and gives you lake views before you even cross the start line. Post-race, the park keeps things simple and open, which fits a course that spent the last stretch asking something real of your legs.
