About the Phoenix River Rat 10K Run
The course follows the Oswego River the whole way around, crossing it twice. The first crossing is on the Phoenix Bridge right at the start; the second comes at the halfway point on a narrow, century-old bridge. Between those crossings you run past open fields, woods, and houses on one side, then a short stretch of packed dirt through trees before River Road brings you back into the village.
Post-race is at a riverside park, where pizza from a couple of local sponsors and something from a local bakery are waiting. The finish and the post-race area are both at the same lock on the river, so there is no wandering to find food or results.
