About the Phillips Flurry 5K & 10K Race/Run/Walk
This one runs on snowshoes through a school forest, so the terrain is wooded and the pace is whatever the snow demands that day. There are a couple of distance options, both on marked courses through the trees. It is a winter race in the fullest sense, not a cold road race with extra layers.
Bib pickup and the awards presentation both happen at the Phillips School Forest, where the race starts. The organizers ask people to carpool, as parking there is limited. After finishing, there is a post-race meal on site, and free access to the local community pool, hot tub included, for a stretch of the afternoon.
