About the Phelps Sauerkraut Weekend: Krauter 20K/5K

The Krauter runs through the village of Phelps during the town's Sauerkraut Weekend, so there is a festival atmosphere in the streets around race morning. Both the longer and shorter distances are USATF certified, which is worth knowing if you are chasing a personal best on a measured course.

Packet pickup happens race morning in a parking lot at the corner of Main and Flint Streets, near the community center. The longer distance offers an early wave for slower paces, so runners of all speeds finish closer together and no one is out on the course alone.
