About the Pensacola Beach Run Half Marathon
The course runs along paved roads beside the Gulf of Mexico, staying close to the water the whole way. The terrain is flat, so most runners come here with a time goal in mind. The surroundings are the draw: white sand beaches on one side, open water on the other, with the kind of scenery that keeps you moving.
Packet pickup happens at a local running store before race weekend, then shifts to the host hotel on the beach the following evening. Race-morning pickup opens in the Casino Beach parking lot before the start. That lot appears to be the staging area, so arriving with time to settle in is worth it. A live band plays at the post-race party.
