About the Pelican Run 5k
The course runs through Haulover Park, so the surroundings are natural and open rather than urban. The race benefits wildlife rehabilitation and environmental education, which gives it a purpose beyond the finish line. Walkers and runners are both out there, and the park setting keeps the whole morning unhurried.
Packet pickup is at the race site on the morning of the event, starting before the gun goes off. There is a parking lot right next to the registration area, though parking is paid separately through a phone app. Look for directional signage when you arrive to find your spot.

Finish-Time Stats
Going by the 2026 results, this is a decent-sized field, and the spread of finish times is wide, so this is a mostly recreational race rather than one for club runners.

The Pelican Run 5k has been held every year since at least 2022. That is as far back as RunSignup's records for this race go, so it may well be older.
How we calculate these stats: RunSesh calculates these figures from the most recent published results of past editions, sourced from RunSignup. We show aggregates only: field size, winning and median times, and the cutoff. We never publish individual finisher tables. Last updated Sep 20, 2026.
