About the Peace Ridge Sanctuary's 5k Run for the Animals & 1 Mile Fun Walk

The course winds through the grounds of an equine sanctuary on the border of two small towns, passing along animal enclosures where horses and ponies are out in the fields. The terrain is natural trail through a mix of open meadow and forest, and by the time this race rolls around each fall, the foliage is usually well along.

Before the race, there is an outdoor yoga session open to all levels. Afterward, a vegan BBQ goes up near the finish area, and the afternoon brings a kids' yoga session, a raffle, corn-hole, face painting, and time to walk around and visit the horses.
