About the Paws with a Purpose 5k
The entry fee goes directly toward animal rescue and care rather than race operations, with all proceeds supporting the Humane Society of Charlotte's mission. The course is a 5K run/walk, and dogs are welcome on the route, which means you will likely share the road with plenty of leashes and four-legged participants alongside the humans.
Registration fees serve as donations to the Humane Society, so there is no separate donation step if you want to contribute. If you have a dog, bring them along; that seems to be part of the spirit of the morning rather than an afterthought.
