About the 33rd Annual Pawleys Island Turtle Strut 5K/8K Run/Walk

The course runs along Myrtle Avenue beside Pawleys Island Creek, on a barrier island so narrow there is essentially one road going south. Shorter-distance runners turn around in a area called the Bird's Nest, while those going the longer route continue down to a beach access point at the far south end, where the ocean comes into view before the run back.

Packet pickup is available the evening before at the Old Town Hall building on Myrtle Avenue, with a race-morning window as well. The start area is at the Nature Park nearby. Water and snacks are at the finish, along with awards for overall and age group placers.
