About the Patriots Day Seaside Dash 5K / 10K / Kid's Dash
The routes run along the Kennebunk coast, so the scenery is ocean the whole way. Timing is optional, which shapes who shows up: costumes are common, there is a prize for the best one, and the atmosphere leans toward a Patriots' Day celebration as much as a race. A separate dash for kids runs alongside the main event.
After the race, the party moves to Federal Jack's, a local spot with live music, food, and drinks. The Boston Marathon is on the same day, and they put the coverage on the big screens so you can watch finishers while you recover.
