About the Patriot Sunset 5k
The course runs on paved roads through the Winterthur estate, circling past gardens and open meadows as the light drops. The surroundings are the whole point here: the grounds are ornate and historic, and running them after the estate has closed to the general public gives the evening a different feel than a typical road race.
Bib pickup happens at the Picnic House, a small building at the back of the Visitor Center parking lot, which is also where you leave your car for the evening. After the race, the post-race party moves to the Reflecting Pool, where there is beer and Philly pretzels. Concessions are also available if you want more.
