The course runs through the soccer fields at a hospital-affiliated sports complex in Cranberry Township. The terrain is open and grassy, typical of athletic park grounds, which makes for a straightforward route without much technical challenge. A short kids' run follows in the same fields after the main race wraps up, so families tend to linger around the finish area.
Packet pickup details go out by email after registration. The starting line is marked by the large complex sign at the entrance to the fields, so it is easy to orient yourself on arrival. Proceeds support local hospital programs, which gives the morning a bit of a neighborhood health-fair feel.
