About the Paris Texas Marathon
The course runs on the NETT Trail, a former rail line converted to a recreational path. Underfoot you get a mix of asphalt, soft ground, and gravel, with occasional road crossings. The route is flat, so the terrain variety is the texture rather than the challenge. Every distance starts and finishes at the Eiffel Tower, Paris's own version.
The race offers both a morning and an evening option, and runners who do both complete what is called the Paris Pair Challenge. That setup means the start area at the Eiffel Tower sees action more than once on race day, which gives the whole event an unusual rhythm compared to a single-wave morning race.
