About the 4th Annual Paint the Downtown 5K
The course runs through downtown Plainview, starting and finishing outside a coffeehouse on a main street. The route stays on city streets, so the surface is pavement throughout. Entry fees go toward downtown improvement projects, paint included, which gives the race a practical local purpose beyond the running itself.
Packet pickup happens the evening before at the same coffeehouse where the race starts, Broadway Brew. Race-morning pickup is available as well. The start area is right on the street, so parking near downtown is the thing to sort out ahead of time.
