About the Pagosa Turkey Trot 5k Fun Run/Walk
The course starts at Yamaguchi Park and runs as a self-timed event, so there is no clock pressure and people move at whatever pace suits them. Dogs on leashes are welcome, which changes the feel of the start line in the best way.
Packet pickup is race morning, so there is no need to make a separate trip the day before. Parking is free at the nearby high school. The timing is built around Thanksgiving morning, with the start late enough to sleep in a little.
