About the P.A.C.E. Races for Youth Athletic Scholarships

The course passes through two small rural communities, and most of it is paved, with a short stretch of gravel mixed in. The hills are real and show up throughout. There are a few railroad crossings along the way, and if a train holds you, the organizers adjust your finish time to account for it. It is open farmland and small-town scenery the whole way.

Both distances start and finish at Ed Spear Park. Packet pickup runs the evening before the race at that same park, with an early-morning option on race day for anyone who cannot make it the night before.
