About the Ox Trot 5K
The course starts near a school building and heads out onto roads before turning into the trails that wind through Old Sturbridge Village. The mix of pavement and wooded path gives it a different feel from a straight road race. The village grounds are leafy and open in turns, and the route loops back to where it began.
Race-morning registration opens well before the first wave goes off, so showing up without a bib is fine. There are separate distances for younger kids and a walk option, so the start area tends to have a wide range of people milling around before things get going.
